小説の会話文と地の文に見られる「ようだ」「らしい」のテンス交替-発話主体と発話時の視点から- The Tense Change in "YODA" "RASHII" Seen in the Conversational Sentences of the Novel and Narrative Writing: From the Viewpoint of the Person making the Utterance and the Time of the Utterance 小野澤, 佳恵 オノザワ, ヨシエ ONOZAWA, Yoshie 話し手 語り手 作中人物 発話時 テンス 現代日本語の認識的モダリティ「ようだ」「らしい」の過去形のあり様には、依然として不明な問題も残っている。ここでは、終止の位置にある「ようだった」「らしかった」が実際に観察できる会話と小説のテクストを考察のための資料として取り上げる。そして、意味の特徴を見ながら、各テクストに「ようだった」「らしかった」が現れる際の、発話主体と発話時の基準軸とに注目しつつ考察することによって、テンス交替のあり様がテクストごとに異なることを明らかにし、次のように結論付ける。「ようだ」「らしい」のテンス交替のあり様は、特に各テクストにおける発話時の基準軸と関係している。発話時の基準軸に、未来か現在か過去かという絶対的な時間的位置付けが生じるテクストの場合、「ようだ」「らしい」はテンス交替ができない。一方、発話時の基準軸に、絶対的な時間的位置付けが生じないテクストの場合、「ようだ」「らしい」はテンス交替ができる。 This paper considers "YODA" "RASHII" seen in the conversational sentences of the novel and narrative writing. Focusing the attention on the person making the utterance and the reference axis of the time of the utterance when each text shows "YODATTA" "RASHIKATTA," it brings out that the state of tense change is different in every text. In conclusion, text change is related to the reference axis of the time of the utterance. Text that has absolute position in the reference axis of the time of the utterance, such as the future, the present of the past, tense change is impossible.
