In this paper twenty-two strategies and techniques for teaching Japanese culture, with explanations of usage, and some applications are given.\n Teachers can make a world of difference in helping students increase empathy for greater cultural understanding. Equipped with a rich collection of culture teaching strategies and techniques to employ in their classroom, they help to raise the students' level of consciousness and proficiency as well as internalize Japanese language learning through culture.
