| 内容記述 | 本稿では、エジプトの初等教育における子ども向け日本語教材『わくわくにほんご』の開発背景と概要、教師研修参加者へのアンケート結果に基づく教材評価および改善点について報告する。エジプトでは日本式教育が導入される中で、子ども向け日本語教育のニーズが高まりつつあるが、適切な教材がない。本教材は、日本語教師でない現地の小学校教師であっても指導できるように構成し、短い時間で日本語や日本文化に触れられることを目的として開発された。アンケート調査の結果、教材は概ね高評価を得ている一方で、Focus on Form、日本文化コラムの充実、音声速度、確認問題に関する改善点が明らかとなった。今後は、これらの改善点を反映させて教材を改良するとともに、教師および学習者から継続的なフィードバックを収集することや、他国・他地域の教育現場でも適応可能な教材であるかどうか検証していくことが課題である。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper introduces the background, purpose, and main features of Waku Waku Nihongo , a Japanese language teaching material designed for children in Egyptian primary schools. It also presents an evaluation of the material based on a questionnaire administered to participants in a teacher training program. In Egypt, Japanese-style education is being introduced, and the need for Japanese language instruction for young learners has been increasing. However, suitable teaching materials have been limited. Waku Waku Nihongo was developed so that local primary school teachers, who are not trained as Japanese language teachers, can teach simple Japanese and basic cultural content within limited class time. The survey results show that the material was generally well received, but they also point to several areas for improvement. These include the need for a clearer focus on form, more substantial cultural columns, more appropriate audio speed, and better-structured review tasks. Moving forward, it will be important to refine the material based on these comments, gather continued feedback from teachers and learners, and consider whether the material can be adapted for use in other countries. |
