Curriculum for the advanced levels traditionally have focused on reading skills. While the beginning level of Japanese instruction has experienced many changes to meet the communicative needs of the Japanese learners, the advanced level instruction remains unchanged. This paper demonstrates an example of a curriculum that aims at developing four skills in an integrated way.
